Service Cancelled

Dear Friends,

I hope youre all doing well. Most of the time, I tell people that were doing great – were healthy and happy and loving life. But, this week, things got a bit tougher. First came news on Tuesday evening that Ben, our son who lives in our basement suite, had tested positive for Covid-19. Hed been feeling sick for awhile, had tested negative a week earlier, but had gone for a retest as he experienced some different symptoms. Patti and I got ourselves tested the very next day and, on Thursday evening, we got our results. My test was negative, but Pattis was positive. This means that neither Patti nor I can be in public places over the next two weeks, including church.

Because of the short notice and sudden impact of this diagnosis, we are going to cancel our Sunday church service and wedding shower for this week. We had not been able to pull together a worship team for this week anyway and I obviously wont be able to lead. Hopefully we will be able to pull some things together for Thanksgiving Sunday and those who want will come to worship together and hear a message from the Bible and enjoy fellowship together.

Were not sure that everyone gets our church emails. If you know of someone who attends Silver Valley but may not be receiving these notices, could you pass on to them this news? Id hate for people to come rolling in to church at 11 just in time to watch the St. Georges people leaving – and no one staying!
